  • Setalux D A 365 BA/X

    Solubility / thinnability    Setalux D A 365 BA/X can be thinned to  a resin

                                 content of 30 % using ketones,esters, ether esters

                                 toluene, xylene and solvent naphtha® 100. However,

                                 the solutions formed must be tested for their

                                 storage stability.

                                 Only PU grade solvents should be used < 0.05 %

                                 water They should contain no other reactive

                                 impurities.


    Compatibility                Generally speaking, Setalux D A 365 BA/X is miscible

                                 with the Desmodur and Setalux D A grades listed here

                                 However, the combinations must be tested for their

                                 compatibility.

                                 Setalux D A 365 BA/X can be mixed with Desmodur N 75

                                 N 3390, Z 4470 and L, with Setal D RD 181 and with

                                 some of the other Setalux D A grades. It is also

                                 compatible with certain vinyl copolymers and

                                 nitro-cellulose chips.


    Properties / Applications    Setalux D A 365 BA/X is used in combination with

                                 Desmodur® N 75 or N 3390 to formulate air-drying

                                 vehicle repair paints. The cured paint films are
                                 hard tough but flexible, glossy and high-bodied

                                 with excellent weather stability and lightfastness

                                 and  good resistance to solvents and petrol.


    Storage                      When stored in sealed containers at temperatures not

                                 exceeding 30 °C, the product will remain stable for

                                 12 months.
